Sweet so if you let it charge to 100% at 5000V

After 0.0002 seconds you are down to 1/3 the charge. (AKA the bottom end of the usable power range)

Either the amp is a current hog or your electrical sucks...

As many will probably attest, the EP1500 is one of the most inefficient amplifiers I've ever seen. Running it through a single wall outlet or power strip yields the same results: dimming.

I like my ep2500. Plugged into a dedicated outlet. No dimming, just crushing base. I just wanted some power on the cheap. 2 kids, a wife and a mortgage = no money for expensive equipment. I got crap for weeks for buying that amp. Maybe when the kids move out I will be able to afford the stuff I really want. For now Craigs list, eBay and yard sales are my audio shop.

As soon as I get some spare change I want to get a decent preamp and a 2 channel amplifier for my shop. I hate the crappy Pioneer receiver I have now. That thing goes out on overload 6 times a day. POS
