ok this is messed.... i put my system in everything was ok......

then today i got a two way alarm installed by a shop...... the alarm is great.....but my stereo system is messed..... the deck turns on but the second that i turn it up the deck shuts off but the sub amp stays on but no sound or bass.... ok so i checked my deck wiring everything is great but i am only getting 9.80-10.12 volts at the deck while the car is running. I get the normal 12.43v while the car is off at the deck.... at the sub amp i get 14.00-14.25v while the car is runnin and 12.41v while the car is off.... at the battery i get 12.44with the car off and 14.00-14.76 with the car running... ok so i was thinking that the alarm had some thing to do with it so i when back to the shop that installed the alarm and told them about it and they removed the alarm completely and then they tryed to fingure out the stereo problem and then get the same measurements that i did.... so then i took the battery out and took it to a auto shop and they tested the battery not in the car and said it was 100% and then i took out the alt and they tested it and they said it was 100%....... the alarm shop tested the wires in the steering column and they are all getting very low voltage.... and the shop can figure it out.. so guys PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!! on the motor side of the firewall everything is great the cabin side everything is very low......

alarms can be whack dawg just get like dbl 5% tint all around your car that way you dont need alarm

To the original poster.... i dunno what to say. I would have taken it to a car dealership and had it checked out before they took the alarm out.

you've got something unique here..

you have the measurement at the ignition column....on the following wires...

what about at the back of the radio

hey guys sorry that i was so long in replying i have ten (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10) L5's with 600w going to each..(yea yea i know its not 600rms per sub cus i dont have enough amps from my alt to power them) the amps are kx600.1s wired for 2 ohm each sub..

anyways i think that i have fixed my wiring problem or while the car did......

i got in to day and did some more testing and every wire that i did a few days ago and they are all testing perfect...... weird so my car messes up then fixes it self... i spend 2 hours today trying to get the car to mess up again but i does not want to ... anyways thanks for the ideas.
