weird voltage problem

I did the big 3 today and my voltage stays at like 13.9-14 before the big 3 it use to stay at 14.4 what could i of done wrong?? i ran chassis to battery, battery to alternator, engine block to - battery.

is the ground nice and tight.my brother friend did the big 3 last year and he did not bolt down the ground to good. it was doing the same as u. i called him he said to tell u to check that first.

yea my bro friend asked me that. is there another battery? i said i dont think so. just check every thing. did u mess with your amps settings or radio? how u checking your voltage?

Ground

I gained almost 2volts from getting a good ground

thx for looking out.. i rechecked everything and it still the same might have to find a different chassis to battery ground

Add a frame ground.

it has to be the ground. did you use new wire? how about size of the wire? i dont know if u posted this in another post or not. what car or truck u have j/w

i have a 99 jeep grand cherokee and i used 0 gauge wire.. im going to try using a different grounding place but i cant till tmrw since its dark already!

What's odd here is engine block to battery. It should be engine block to chassis. Also, did you replace any of your original wiring or just compliment it?

replaced it with 0 gauge wire the same way it was before. only different thing i did was used a different ground location for the battery

When did you test the 14.4? Sometimes once it gets hotter through the day my voltage will drop a little bit, then from when it was the in morning when I started it up.

Also double check your grounds anyways
