Weird sub story...

Figured this was kinda weird. Yesterday im playing with a new sub i got for next to nothing... a PG TI15. Nice little sub BTW. Hits really hard in a 35hz box. But thats besides the point. I had a few of them 5 gallon jugs of water in the back of my truck. And they slid into the BACK of the box. All of a sudden the sub was FROZEN in a solid position. Couldnt push it in... at all. Took it outta the box and said WTF? Not blown, smelled beautiful. I said hmm.... and put it down on the tailgate. It all of a sudden popped back and was fine! I have NEVER seen anything like it. Put it back in the box, and bangs again like its brandy dandy. Figured it was funny.

Sounds like the VC and all slid uneven from the motor and when u set it down it slid back in straight or something like that lawl

The motor probably got knocked out of alignment.

I had some old RF's back when they only glued the motor to the basket.We knocked the box around one too many times, knocked em' out of alignment.And the only thing holding the motor to the basket was the magnet.So it wouldn't really move around for us.So they were both trashed.

Another possibility is the cone moving so far foward that the voicecoil former left the gap entirely and became stuck on the top plate, the bump from putting the driver back down knocked it free.
