I wanna run 3 DD 2512's in my ported box that is 6.85 cubic feet...will this be enough of a box for these subs??...they are dual 4's wired to a 2.67 ohm load..dont think my amp can handle them though...my amp does 850w rms x 1 @ 2 ohm...guessing it would put out at 14.4V a little more...but the 2512's need 500w rms to get them moving...my amp will give them roughly 300w a piece...what amp would you suggest for this setup?? I really like the 2000x from US Amps...or maybe a RF 10001bd...the subs shipped to my door are $600 for the trio..little extra for the CDC's...like $750 total...i have about like wise 750 to spend on an amp...another problem is i have 4 guage wiring..might wanna upgrade...but if i keep my current amp i dont need new wiring..but 300w to each sub i dunno..lemme know what i should do..thanks

they will handle 1000rms all day, but 700 is a good choice orion 2500d is a solid amp that will do the job, but that space seems a bit small for a treo of 2512s.
i run a pair of 2510's and i honestly dont think they would last with 1000 per woofer. i know a guy running 2200 watts on a pair of 3512's and thats way cool, but not on the 2500s

go to termpro and you will see a few that run 2512s and 2515s with 1000rms each most people know DD is highly under rated, when I had my 9515 it was rated at a mere 1000rms, but it took 3000rms daily like a champ no prob, also if you call and talk to DD they will tell you it will handle that power no prob depending on the box and if its clean power.

i have dd 2500's, i know what they will do. if you threw 1000 watts on one of them for a daily setup you would kill it. i know dd is underrated, i am not afraid of giving anything power, shoot i gave some 10" treo tsi's nearly 600 watts each, and a tsx 10" 800 watts.

Loki...DD specs say 5.00 cubes for 2 12's...so i am guessing cause they dont go any bigger that about 7.50 is about right...but 6.85 cubes i what i have..i know they need alot of breathing room.

it is going into a blazer...my box is brand new..its got 3 layers on top where subs are mounted..its a CRX style box..best output for a blazer..4 door..i dont want a wall or change boxes..just wanna go with the 3 12's 2512's...just a basic sub and amp swap...not looking to win all show just need something that is different...i like trio of subs so i wanna keep it that way...up for suggestions on amp!!!

Bri...i wanna keep it at 500w rms per sub..so i need an amp that does 1500 to 2000w rms at 2 ohm..like a RF T20001bd or US Amps 2000

RF and US Amps is clean power..just worried about my box size...its braced 3 layered on top..it can take a beating from any 3 12's...just need the right air space..its ported so the air will flow nicely

that is enough air space to still get loud and sound good. my two tens are ported and dont have as much air space as they should and it still sounds better and way louder than any ext cab under the seat setup i have ever heard.
