weird sound coming from subwoofer

I juss took a razor and cut it off. After i glued it back on you cant even tell. Idk why they are there but after i covered em i didnt get the noise anymore. This shouldnt cause any problems with overheating or anything will it??

Well its a plastic cone and dust cap it basically juss popped off. Kenwood didnt use very good glue when they put it on there. But does anyone think it will cause a problem with overheating or anything.

play the sub out of the box. a scratchy sound is normally a voice coil rubbing. spiders get wore out and coil rocks...
