weird sound after ground loop isolator

I think I have a ground loop. Alternator whine, static. I can even hear my deck starting up and spinning my CD.

I tried to install a ground loop isolator from Best Buy. I hooked it up and turned my stereo on.

My speakers just starting making a siren sound that started getting higher and higher in pitch (like a bomb was going to explode). What am I doing wrong here?

ditch the ground loop isolator and fix the root of your problem. start by making a better ground for your head unit. Ground loop isolators just hide the problem, not eliminate it.

If you have a Pioneer head unit, try grounding the RCA's. That gives lots of people problems.

Here's the thing. I've regrounded my amp many times. I've tested both my HU ground and amp ground with a DMM and they are both giving me just a tiny resistance.

I've tried different RCA cables (though they were cheap ones from "The Source") and still know luck.

What problem could possibly have a ground isolator make that sound? Could a wire have come loose on one of my component speakers?
