weird RCA problems causing half power being lost.

to make this shorter... i was testing my rca connnections where it connects to the amp in the trunk.. i wiggled them and still had half power.. i then took off the white rca plug and gained back full power, after plugging the white rca i get half power playing again which idont want... what could the problem be? im geussing maybe rca wires are broken... is it okay to play my subs without the white rca connected but with only the red plug connected??

**** this gonna be my 3rd pair of rcas. Is it okay to run this with only the red rca wire connected for now or will that cause problems? I took the deck out and the white rca is squashed

one RCA is fine, how good it will be depends on which output you're using. is it a mono sub output or a stereo output? most bass is mixed mono but some is left (as left is commonly mono). if you're bridging the amp you may want to use a Y-adapter so both inputs have a signal. it may or may not make a difference depending on the configuration of the amp.

is it the RCA pigtail out of the head unit that's damaged? if you're handy with a soldering iron you can just cut it shorter and replace the end.
