Weird HD Radio problem.

I have a kenwood 25th anniversary cd player with the HD Radio attachment. I recently bought a 95 firebird with an electric antenna and connected my cd player and HD radio. Everything worked fine until I installed my amp and sub. All the analog stations got staticy and the digital stations are not catching at all.

Just now I took out the cd player to check the wires in the back and unhooked the remote wire that goes to the amp. 2 seconds later the digital channel that I was tuned to started playing perfectly. As soon as I connected the wire the station went silent. What is going on here? I have no idea about what to do. I want my HD radio.

Sounds like the shielding on the remote wire may have a nick in it. Check the entire length...
