Weird Distro block problems

I have 0 gauge going to a distro block with two 4 gauge outputs, each less than a foot. The grounds are short as possible, with 0 gauge ground and 4 gauges for them as well. Ground is bare metal and secure.

Anyhow, the distro block for the positive gets really hot, and in fact, one side melted to the plastic base. o.0 Neither amp is very powerful. Maybe 300rms each right now.

You have a really bad connection on that block. Bad connection means high resistance which means a large voltage drop across that connection which means a lot of power lost as heat. Your connections shouldn't even be slightly warm to the touch. If they are heating up at all your connections are no good.
