weird battery terminal setup

I have a 96 Toyota Rav4 and the postive power wires connect to the battery terminal through a plastic fuse box, basically this little black box sits on the batterys positive terminal. I guess I could just cut it out the wire and just hook it up to a an aftermarket terminal, and put a different type aftermarket fuse holder i, what have others done in similiar situations?

http://www.knukoncepts.com ANL and AGU fuses/fuse holders will be your best choice. make sure it's the right fuse that is good with your amp

I will definately be putting a fused connection for the amp right after the battery, but what I was talking about was my stock power wire, maybe I should take some pictures tommorow and post them, sort of hard to describe the stock power wire setup.
