so was messing around with my system today, and i was listennign to a song at high volume, and the bass line just got stuck. there is no other way to explain it, it continued to play the same frequency of bass untill i tuned off my head unit. is the an amp problem? a wiring problem? it doesnt do it unless i have the volume all the way up. i messed with a few things today; the LPF, Sub sonic filter, power cable, and how i have my subs wired into my amp, i think that may be the problem how i had them wired in. has anyone else had this problem? i dont want to have to replace my amp, i just dropped 200 into a head unit.someone please help.

ok i fixed that, now i have this problem; i upgraded my sony headunit for an alpine one, got everything hooked up, turned it on, and much to my suprise, my subs dont hit nearly half as hard as they used to, i have the bass about halfway up and sub all the way up, i didnt touch anything on my amp, but it sounds like its not getting as much power as it was. can anyone help me out? system is in the sig. thanks.

yep, the new alpine you have has less pre out voltage, dunno if it can be fixed with simple gain adjustment or not- may need a line driver/preamp.

glad i could help with your rca problem, however!
