ways- on speaker

think about it as multi-tasking.

in multi driver speakers/setups (what you hear as "way", ie "3 way" has 3 drivers, "4way" 4 drivers, etc.) each driver is assigned to a specific range of sound. for example, in a "3 way" speaker, you would have 3 different drivers, one for lower frequencies (say 70-250Hz), one for the middle (250-1300Hz), and one for the high end (1300Hz on up). the more drivers the speaker has, the smaller bandwidth it has to play, and can concentrate on the range of frequencies that it does best.

so with fewer drivers, it is doing more multi-tasking. with more drivers, less multi tasking. however, multi-tasking is not always a bad thing... more often than not the drivers are designed to work in specific frequency ranges, so adding more drivers is completly un-necesary.

so no, a 6 way speaker is not necisarily going to be better than a 3 way speaker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . as long as the 3 way is properly designed.

Get some good 6 1/2's or 5 1/4's. What are the 7x10s you are considering. Do you have a link to them?

i have these are they good or are the ones you are suggesting better ...The Formula SP-6969 6x9" 800 watt set of 6 way car speakers is better than other speakers sold at this price, and here is why.

These are not ordinary 2 way speakers, these are 6 way speakers, meaning you will get more defined and better surround sound out of them. Each speaker has a built in woofer for low frequencies, mid-ranges for mid frequencies, and multiple tweeters and super tweeters for high frequencies, and super-high frequencies.

You can tell by the above pictures that the speaker is made of quality materials. This includes a top of the line built in polypropylene long lasting material.

Formula is one of the only companies in the world who can produce such high output and quality speakers, at prices like these.

Features:

* FLUSH-MOUNT SPEAKER FOR CAR STEREO

* 6x9" POLYPROPYLENE SIX WAY SPEAKER

* FREQUENCY RESPONSE - 45 Hz — 25 KHz

* SENSITIVITY - 93 dB/W (I m)

* IMPEDANCE - 4 OHMS

* MAX PEAK POWER - 800W PER PAIR

* BUILT IN MID RANGE

* BUILT IN WOOFER

* MULTIPLE BUILT IN TWEETERS

* MULTIPLE BUILT IN SUPER TWEETERS

* 4 OHM IMPEDANCE

The stuff you are looking at is trash.

That's the blatant and simple truth.

What make/model/year vehicle do you have? What is your budget? What are you looking to buy with that budget?

I'd look into some Pioneer REV Coaxial Speakers.

What?

Pyle is not worth buying.

Your better off spending a little more money for something that sounds way better.

No one said anything about size.

Why are you so stuck on pyle and lanzar?

1. kicker is not the best kind

2. for 4000 watts be prepared to spend a shitload on electrical.

3. eminence is not the loudest anything u can get.

4. i dont even know what to say to the last part
