when doing watts/volts = amps

is the (watts) the rms of the amplifier(s)?

now for the other part of the question im wondering how true of a formula this is. In my case iam running a MTX 1004(4ch) & MTX942(2ch) with both of these amplifiers the sheet say they "may" draw more than 150 amps. so this formula seem more amplifier dependant?
