Adding a battery!

I've just blown out two alternators and it's finally time for me two upgrade and get a gel cell battery. I also need help with the installtion too. As of now I have running the Kenwood Ex X915 headunit, Kenwood EQ, 2X 12" Vegas (1200Ws each), 1400W Kenwood 401M amp, and a Kenwood 848 800W amp. Can you advise me one what type of battery I should go with and how many? I was looking at Optima and Stinger, but if you know of something better and some good prices, let me know.

i have another familiar question for everyone since you brought up the topic.

do you guys think my car would need an extra battery for this system?

Alpine MRV-F450 amp

Alpine CDA-9807 headunit

4 x inifnity reference speakers (approx. 60w rms each)

1 x inifinity reference subwoofer (approx. 300w rms)

fyi...i only have it running for less than 2 days now...

BDP1999 - Both optima and stinger battery is pretty good from what i heard.

joker7 - No, I don't think you need a second battery unless ur car is a fossil.

well if you want to play for extended periods of time with your car off then id upgrade the battery----I wouldnt get a second battery...Im lookin for a new batt cuz my 601.1 is going to eay my batt I have now alive

Hooking up a battery is very simple... just wire it in parallel to the front battery.

Its best to get a pair of the same batteries... and a pair or trio of, for example, big Everstart batteries (walmart) will be a HECK of alot better than a single yellow and your stock battery and be the same $.
