So you'll power the rears off the midbass output from the HU? That'd be fine, or you can just run them off the headunit, the issue with running them from the amp is the front stage will be pulled back.
Stupid Idea.i never thought of that ya ill just run rear fill off the headunit power
thanksman
have you had both on the same exact setup of speakers/amps/xovers/eq's?9887 does it too, and IMO 9887 >880 in sound q.
Yes I have, on the identical setup same amps and same speakers.have you had both on the same exact setup of speakers/amps/xovers/eq's?
if not, how can you say that?
I don't know why so many people complain about the alpine setup. To me it makes MORE sense than any other interface I've ever used, be it eclipse, pioneer or whatever. Everything is logically setup.have you (also) had both on the exact same setup? remember SQ is pretty subjective based upon the listener's preferences as well. i know alpine's head units generally have a little more emphasis on the treble frequencies.
you cant go wrong with either though, and most people probably wont know a difference. it's probably just based on the cosmetics and setup of menus and stuff.
personally, i will never own another alpine after my 7894, they are too hard to configure. i am partial to the way pioneer sets up their head units
