Wanting to get into the car audio business

Well i dont' mean to be rude but i think you might be reading my post incorrectly it says WANTING TO GET INTO THE CAR AUDIO BUSINESS and then i go on to say i want to learn the basics and go from there and EVENTUALLY would like to start a business..... eventually ..... i'm just asking advice as far as learning on the how to's installations, window tint, fiberglassing, speakers, etc etc i mean i'm not dumb i have minimal knowledge or know how on how to do it but i know a little

I do have a real job i'm a fleet manager for a trucking company i know must people think this might be a bad idea but i know people that make it doing all sorts of things so saying that doing car audio isn't a real job makes you ignorant educate your self

your a troll if you have nothing to input on the conversation besides oh it's going to fail or you really don't have an interest in reading the post fully and and really understand what i'm trying to get at after i said it twice i can't help you

For every 10 Car Audio Shops that open within 1 year 9 of them will be out of business.... the shops here do good because most of them have started doing Home Audio installs / window tinting "house and cars" etc.. etc... they are no longer a one stop shop for just car audio... not sure how it is in Dallas tho

I also agree that if your going to learn about car audio business you need to learn it all home installs like speakers in the wall dvd set ups etc and so much more I'm wanting to be as versitle as possible i've also worked in tattoo shops and it's sort of a similar only the strong shops survive reputation is everything so i would want to work in reputable car audio shop learn what i can and when the time comes move forward if i desire it at that point in time

Well there was the "Snake Pit" school in cali, you get a loan spend 2-3 months down there flying through stuff, they pay for MECP Basic and Advanced testing, if you can get a sebbatical for 4 months you can do that, but its somewhere around 4-8 grand to do it, then you gotta pay it back, or you can take community college on circuts, electrician, etc and gather knowledge that way, I went to Mobile Dynamics and learned in 3 months, got Basic MECP certification, but I didn't have tools at home to start a portfolio so my MECP certifications are null and void since I haven't retaken the tests, etc.

Guide to Car Audio Installation Schools, Training and MECP Certification

Here's a website you can go to find schools specific on MECP training and stuff.
