Wantin to get louder...

Well, I'm wanting to get louder. So my question is, off teh amp in my sig, what sub (or subs), will get louder than my MT 10. I've been thinking of a MT 15, since I like my MT. How much louder than my 10 do you think a 15 will be?

Or, as always, I'm open to suggestions.

alot.......u talking about more than doubling the cone area

the 15 will get hella loud....that depend on your box as well if u have room for the 15 go 4 it...if not...... get the 10

a 10 in the rite can get stupid loud as well.....a 15 in a box 2 small can sound like *** munch and the 10 will own it

I already have the 10. I've had it for a few months now, just want to be even louder. It's in a 1984 Thunderbird. As I understand, the 15 needs around 4.5 to 5 cubes, am I right? That's do-able.

It will be in a 1/2 wall (thats the best way I can describe it). The top of the box will be in line with teh rear deck of my car. Basically all the area where my back seat used to be. I'm a big guy, so no one can fit back there anyways, unless ot was a midget body contortionist.

Yea, possibly. I had a bite from thehardknoxlife on here, but have yet to here back from him. That would save me some money, being as he lives in Knoxville and I could take it to him.

TTT. No inputs? Very unlike the Ca.com community. Basically, what I'm asking, is if there is a sub better than a MT as far as, well, pwning everything. I would consider getting a different sub, but it would haveto handle a LOT of power, or I would have to run multiple subs, which I really don't want to do. I want one loud *** sub...

I'm willing to half wall it. Hell, I wanted to half wall that 10. But that would be too big of a box for it.

unless u a do a 4th order bandpass box with a really huge ported area u will get loud.....thats the only reason i would do a really big box with 1 mt10

So, you're saying in a big box, my 10 will get loud? Cause if that's the case, its in a big ported box. I think my fears have come true. I have reached the limit of a 10" MT, and are still wanting more.

Aww well, I've already went through the "loud *** small speaker" phase and passed. Now it's time for the "loud as I can possibly get with a single speaker phase."

I would go with the 18, but the recommended box size for a 15 is quite big, and I don't want a full wall...yet anyways...
