Wantin to get louder...

i doubt if you half wall a sub in your back seat you will get any real gain over a correctly installed sub in your trunk, even if its smaller.

if this was the case, putting a sub in the trunk wouldnt be considered a smart thing to do.

It's not a matter of me getting it done, I just don't have the money to get it done all at once. I've been giving a wall some serious thoughts here lately, but's in in a DD setup, so I keep going back and forth.

As far as doing it in a trunk, I do have the room for it. There's a 4.9 cu. ft. box tuned to 35 Hz in there now, but the port is too close to the rear of my trunk (read as my hand cant fit between the two). I was told by several competitors, including one who was a physicist and speaker designer/builder, that it was entirely too close. So I think that puts the 15 in the trunk out of the question. Hence the half wall...

Why would that not be better than a trunk setup???

I know the basis for a wall, but I wouldn't want to try it by myself, as I have no experience with them.

What??? Sell my VFL!!!!! I've only had it a week, and it is awesome!!!(and sooooo purdy.)

Edit: Plus, they were getting over 5kw with them on a 16 volt setup in a van...Just how stout are those 2500d's supposed to be???
