Hello, my name is Troy.
I joined this forum because I know NOTHING about car stereos. I've researched, gone to stores to get advice but it always goes over my head and approaches thousands of dollars for what I want. Maybe that's how it is however I would rather learn myself, do it myself so I can fix, adjust and upgrade with confidence.
Here's my project... i have a 73 Corvette Stingray that has a crappy sound system. I do not want to add a new deck to the dash to keep the original look of the car. There is a pre-exiting deck, AM-FM asset that I did add an AUX cable too, so I can run my phone to play the music.
My desire of this project; build a box for a sub and two speakers in the rear "cargo" area, add a amplifier and primary use either an iPod or i-phone for music. I don't really need or want a AM-FM receiver or CD player.
If you have any ideas, or links, or need more information; it would be very appreciated.
Thanks
Troy
