Want a new setup....I have $2,000!

This is intresting....I think you should repost.....More like who here can come up with the loudest tested system for 2000.... Something to that effect....oh and like you said just amps and subs...2k for just the amp and subs set up... on the tl.

What year monte?

if it's an 80s model like I been trying to find, you can get 4 12's back there..

Get your electrical in order first. Talk with Mechman to see if there's a higher output alternator for your car.

I'd go 2 AQ2200Ds for 2 AQ HDC 15s. For an HU, Alpine 9887 or Premier 980bt. For the highs, there are a lot of options too. Alpine PDX 4.150.

I'd need to know what year though.

do you want a head unit? (video one, ipod one, etc)

do you want components? (want em amped?)

do you want a wall?

We need more info...geeze give us some guidelines at least

no i already have a premier deck and good components. I just need different subs and amps. Right now I have 2 12s Pioneer Premier Champ Series Pros. They get loud but i want louder. And I have a American Bass 80.1. and as far as walls, what type of wall do you mean??

What we (or I) mean by wall:

Sealing the area behind the seats up

to the b-pillar and still below the rear

deck, for a stock appearance. The woofers

and port(s) would be on the seat side of

the seal.

The seal or wall will prevent the bass wave(s)

from bouncing off the back of your trunk, thus

directing all the sound into the cabin and attempting

to mitigate cancellation.

This can be time consuming, expensive and ineffective

if done on the cheap.

Your other basic alternative is to aim backwards but

without a box so tall as to choke off the cabin. I hope

someone corrects me if I am wrong here or left something

major out.

Id sit down and figure out exactly what all you will be installing for amperage consumption and add another 10-15% amperage useage on top of that...
