I'm going to invest in a clamp meter sometime soon (after I order the Kinetiks) and post MY results from the amps... so we'll see. Either way it's going to be no less than 2kw per sub (WORST case scenario) which will still be LOUD. I'd imagine my 20.1 was giving ~2kw to my BTL when it was in the trunk.... insane.

In my opinion (of course right?) an angle behind a two woofer setup makes much of a difference from an SPL standpoint. I know the two oudest SS1-2 cars don;t use angles in their two woofer setup. If it was 3-4 woofers,,,that's a different story.

kenny SHOULD pull the rated power out of the amps atleast for bassrace. car on/bank of batts/HO Alt, he SHOULD get rated at least.

Doubt those amps will get him anywhere near 4K per sub.Might get 2500 at most.

i was one of the first people to test these amps with 12 volts with the right impedence rise you can get over 6k out of a strapped pair unless something has changed

Would the angled back help on sealed boxes?

I am considering putting two 18s on my back seat (building the box as wall as needed) and using the angle to increase box volume. Would I still have anything to gain by having them fire into the back seat.

The box would be wedge shaped.

its always longer when its something you really want. happens to all of us:crap:

cant wait to see it done! i prally wont even bring my explorer to the meet...its not gonna be done by then (subs and amps in)...the wall will be done most likely tho.
