W7 or SoloX

i can get a soloX 15 for $400~500 NIB with full warranty from kicker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

70% off all kicker stuff is an awesome employee discount.

as for SQ vs SPL - the solox will almost definatly be louder than the w7. reason being? the solox (assuming a 15") will be a true 15" sub, but also its square, so it has an assload of cone area. the w7 is only a "13"" sub, and is round. so has ALOT less cone area. the w7 is NOT a SPL sub, and the X is - the soloX can take like 5kw, and the w7 will not like 2kw. soloX can be in LARGE high tuned ported boxes, and i would seriously not recommend that for the w7.

but if done right, the solox can seriously sound just as good as the w7 (talk to polecat, they have won SQ titles man)

eaither is a fantastic speaker tho. the soloX might cost YOU a bit more $$ tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But seriously if you've got the money, space, and good enough electrical system, I'd go with the solo x //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

OK since when does kicker even make a solo x 15??? i sure woulda bought it instead of my 12. Pretty sure they dont tho
Kicker makes a 10", 12", 15", and 18" version of the X. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Kicker makes a 10", 12" and 18" Solo X. they don't make a 15" the reason being because manyi spl competitors don't use 15's to compete i believe....

How many times is that going to have to be re-hashed?

like said above, no 15"

if you don't know what you talking about you probably shouldn't open your mouth...

guess that means I'm gonna have to shut up...

I know its been posted... but ima say it again also...

10,12,18 is the only sizes they make for the solox.

W7 will get loud and sound good.

SoloX will get louder but can sound good also but It depends on what your looking for the sub to do. We need to know more of what you want...

for any normal person, *not someone who works for someone who gets kicker @ cost/accomidations...* I would say W7, for the simple fact that it would be cheaper, and much more reliable, and require much LESS power than a SoloX... a 12" w7 only requires about 800 to run efficiantly, where as the solox12 requires 2500... yes, the X hits a LOT harder, but are you honestly willing to spend 1400 just on a sub, or spend 750... where on an amp, you would need to spend tonz to get a worthy amplifier to run the soloX... just IMO, w7 is the better choice, oh yeah, plus the w7 doesn't require the tonz of cubic feet that the X does...

The soloX 12 does not need 2500 watts to run well... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
