W3s Need Amp.

Alright I have 2 12" W3v1's. I want to get a Slash 500/1 v2 Amp, but im not sure if that'll be loud enough for me. Will that amp push my W3's to there max or what? Will it sound good, and will I need to get a capacitor?

I'm not sure how much the 12W3v1 can take, but the 12W3v2 and v3 can take 300rms ea. so the 500/1 should be the best JL amp you could get.

Yeah, my 500/1 makes my 10w3v3s rattle a few things around in my truck.

for that kind of cash you could get a AQ 1200 that does 870x1 @ 2 ohm and 1200 at 1 ohm

its olny $250.

Skip that cap and do your big three in 1/0 guage. See sticky on top of amplifier section.

What is the big three? I also have 4 gauge wiring at the moment.

get the AQ for the headroom, its cheap for what it is. If the V3 is rated at 500 just wire them down near 1 ohm and your set!

Uhm... I don't really much experience working on cars... So Would "The Big Three" be difficult to do?

Like everyone said NO CAP. The w3v1 were d@mn stout little subs and will laugh at the 500/1. I had a a few different w3v1's in various setups. They will take 400w no problem. I had a PG ti600.1 on single 12 and it loved it.. Very nice subs.
