VW owners: Need help with Big 3

Task: To do Big 3

Have : 2002 GTI , 1/0 knu wire, ring terminals,bat terminals and 2 hands.

I know what it is and did some reading in big 3 thread on ca.com

I know has to be done:

1) Battery negative to chassis

2) Alternator to battery positive

3) Chassis to engine.

All I'm asking are pics of an actual install from 2000+ VW gti, jetta or similar. For example: did you drill any holes or used existing ones for your chassis connection and where, where did you connect the wire on engine, what about connection to the positive alternator.

Any pics will be really appreciated. Thank you ia.

Ill be doing the big three on one of my buddies 2002-3 VW golf. Ill take some pics when id do. Or if you do it before i do, take some pics.

i'm sure there is someone here with vw who did big 3. I thought it's not that difficult to share your experience and pics, oh well

For battery to chassis, just remove the old grounding wire and use the same grounding point. It's senseless to leave the original wire on there.

For chassis to engine, the nearest grounding point to the place you pick on the engine.

Remember, the whole chassis is part of the grounding plane. Electrons flow through the metal and complete the circuit no matter where you choose to ground anything electrically.
