Voltage???

What is a safe voltage in a newer vehicle (2008)?

I usually hover @ 13.2 with spikes to 13.5 and dips to 12.8. Sometimes worse, depending upon if AC, fan, lights, wipers etc are on and running.

Want to make sure I'm not hurting anything.

You're not going to break anything but did you ever do the big three?

No. I didn't because I was hovering @ 13.8 but now I have upped my 2 Channel as well. And it seems like the Big 3 would now be a help. 2 of the 3 wires are clearly accessible. however, the wire from alt to batt is posing a problem to reach. And since electricity runs in a loop, will 2 of the 3 help? The 3rd would require some less than easy work. And I'm not an expert when it comes to "under the hood" procedures.

(Especially with a broken finger)

Haha ok so in about 2 weeks hopefully. Back to the original question, @ what point does voltage become hazardous to a vehicle?

you will not do any damage to any thing unless you drop below 12v for sure but like l4yfr4me said i would be consurned if you start runing mid to low 12's

Ok thank you. Its odd, bass hits don't affect the voltage by more than .1 or so. Yet other car appliances can make it jump over a full 1 volt.

So since the broken finger has me partially benched for the next week, anything else i can do/concoct to help my voltage? obviously a H/O alternator; but anything else?

Not complaining so much as just looking for other ways to add to my mental database for projects, ideas.
