voltage question??

I have a 2004 mazda 6 with the bose system package (130 amp alt?), in the trunk I have a jl 500/1 and an RE audio se15. I got a free cap when i bought my amp, and the weird thing is that the voltage display is reading around 9.9 or 10.0. My ground is pretty solid from what i know. I use 2ga wire from the battery. Idk what the problem is, do i need another battery or what are some of your suggestions??? Thanks for any help.
