I have a 2003 mitsubishi lancer Oz Rally with an 200amp excesive amperage altenator and im running O guage to my battery under the hood. then im running 0 guage to my battery relay then O guage to my 2 Kinetic 2400 batteries, im then running O guage to my tsnami distribution box which has a positive and negative side and im running a O guage ground off the block then im running 4 guage to my 3 crossfire amps 2 1000d's and a 804. im running 4 crossfire x6's off of the 804 and im running off 2 mtx 9500's off the 2 1000d's 1 to each. My HU is a IVA-D310 to,

slim ps2, 20gig ipod in my glove box. Then i have my HU hooked up opticaly to my alpine 5.1 proccesor which is then hooked up to a audiocontrol matrix which then goes to my 3 Crossfire amps.

well my question is my system plays fine but when i turn it up to like 24 or higher my bass cuts out after bought 5 mins or 1 song. my qusestion is how can i remedy this problem? I have a 2 farad tsnami cap just laying around was wondering if that would help or not. or was wondering if i need to run dual altenators my 200amp for my system and my stock 84amp for my car. Also im in the process of doing the big 3 have 0 to battery.

ok so you have 3 batts and a 200 amp alternator all wired up with 1/0 gauge wire? and you're in the process of the big 3...

get the big 3 finished with 1/0... make sure all your gounds to the amps are good

what's your total amp draw with all those amps??

i just finished doing the big 3 in O guage. My car is getting 17.3 to all 3 amps in the trunk when its a a low volume of like 6 on my HU. gonna test out my car tommrow at forest peserve or something so i can crank it up and see what my voltage is at.

is your car seeing 17 volts? if so you are probably going to fry something very soon. if you are running the car with this alt then you you shouldn't have it turned up past 15 volts or so.

I hope that 17.3 is a typo unless you are stepping down the voltage to your car's accessories. If not, it wont be long till your lights are blown, and your computer is fried... and even worse you could blow up your batteries.
