up front. I have stock alt (90 amp) up front, duralast battery (unsure how old is, but it test good) , with a batcap 2000 in the back near the amps. headlights dim.. not too bad but enough to tell it driving down the road. should I buy a batcap 400 to put near the amps then move the 2000 to the front? or should I just upgrade my front battery, and if so what are some recommendations.. I drive a 96 dodge neon.. its a small car not sure what will fit without mods.

I would just upgrade your front battery. Its probably the weak link.

Buy another 2000 for under the hood and see if the dimming still occurs. If it does not fix the issue, you might need a third 2000 in the trunk. Chances are if you need that much battery, you will probably run into problems with the alt not keeping all 3 charged. I see an HO alt or vehicle swap in your near future.

wish it was a vehicle swap but I don't have that kind of money right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif your not going to believe this but.. that 96 dodge only has 46k miles on it. it sat up at someones house for a long time without being drove. I think there is a GOOD chance that IS the stock battery. what about getting a kinetik 1800 for the front assuming it will fit? or just go right with another batcap 2000? i need this for daily use.

Don't mix batteries. Just buy another 2000 and see if it helps. Chances are you will need an HO alt to keep them charged though.

well dang. I hear it was alright to mix two different brand batteries. i was thinking of getting a deka since they are priced well... but maybe your right. wish I could find another batcap 2000 for a good price
