voltage issue

ok I have a 2005 silverado with about 2500 watts rms.

I put a 250 amp alt on and hasa a yellow top also has 0/1 wires for the big 3

sometimes my voltage is 12 volts while driving even if the stereo is off. Itdid this before the ho alt but I thought that would fix it could it be the voltage regulator

Meters gotta be off or the Voltage reg died.

Im gonna say go get a DMM.

But with that, my in dash meter drops while in drive and the brakes on to about 12 volts.... but I have a 140 amp alt and a powermaster 2700 battery and thats with the stereo off

Im gonna try a different alt pulley here soon, ( hopefully real busy with work latley). hoping that cures the at idle on mine :/

my truck shifts at about 3800 RPM or so F/T so I don't need a pulley that can handle the engine running at 6k rpm.
