heres the deal, im running a mbuart dsc1500.1 to my sub and an ap 20004 to the mids and highs in my 2008 tiburon, ive done the 1/0 big 3 and power wire to be back to my kenetik hc 1400, all the grounds are solid, but when i put the power to it the voltage drops down to around 12.5 at the front and back batt. and its charging at 14.7 at idle with the system off

im thinking that a better batt up front may be in order, one with some better terminals on it that what comes factory on these cars, any one have any suggestions on what kind of batt i should do or if something else could be causing it.

Um, thats sound normal to me... mine is the same way.... I think even if you add a high output alternator. at IDLE it might still be 14.7volts, but with a 300ampere capacity. If you looking to increase the voltage to like 16 volts I think more work is needed.

I could be wrong...

What amp alternator?
the best info that i can get says its 90 amps, im just kind of wondering if the the factory battery up front hasnt been trashed by everything, the voltage was fine for quite a while, i started to notice the lights dimming after about 2 weeks. i checked the ground batt ground in the back and it had come loose. i put that back and it worked fine for a while then it started droping again, checked all of the grounds and they are fine.

I have a 110 amp alt and I did the 0/gauge power-ground and second batt... I still get dimming and my alt putsout 14.7 at idle.

I have dimming. I am also running 2K rms... Sounds like you nee what I need... upgraded alternator.
