I don't know but that wouldn't work cuz then i'd have to take out all the speakers to test on that end, which is what i'm trying to avoid.I don't think that will work unless you ground the wire you want to be - to the chassis of the car up in the dash then start to test for what wire you have grounded
I think you got it he wants to find the neg without pulling the speakers, I have tested subs that friends have installed by hitting a 9v battery to the terminals to see what direction the speaker moved towards you maybe able to adapt that to this situation if you can see the speaker just don't hold the battery to the wire bump it and by 9v I mean the one out of your smoke detectorare you lookin for the negative of the speaker? what is it ur exaclty trying to do?
jsut thought about the Q no you can't use the light like that in no way with the wires hooked to the speaker testing them with a light will not show a ground because there is no ground present in the circuit all the + - on your speaker do is tell you to hook them all up the same way for phase purposes there is no set + - past the output of your amp it is no longer direct current it is an alternating current
you can use the leds that wil be okI don't think that will work unless you ground the wire you want to be - to the chassis of the car up in the dash then start to test for what wire you have grounded
