Voltage drops??

just get a beefy battery for the trunk i got a deka intimidator 9A31... which is basically the same as an HC 2400 and ran 0 gauge between that and my front batt and did the Big 3 and that was enough to keep my voltage at 13.6 steady which is great for me and thats with a 1000 watt sub amp and 400 watt speaker amp... plus the battery was only about 190 dollars cuz i got in on a group buy on realm of excursion... it's definitely a beast of a battery

Do everything you can to get better voltage(within your budget). I had the same issues as you. I was running a Sundown 1500D at .5ohm with a stock battery and alt in a dodge truck...and I'd drop to about 11V doing test tones at full volume. Here's what I did:
1) Put a Kinetik HC2000 up front...+.6V

2) Put a Batcap 2000 in the back...+.5V

3) Upgraded my Big 3 from 4 gauge to 0 gauge...+.4V

3) Added some aluminum buss bars for my front battery...+.3V

Now I never drop below 12.8V when doing burps at full volume(even with a lot of clipping).
Check into MLA Modules.

With two of the Big 3 done and a crap battery.

I dropped to 13.1 Under music.

I installed the MLA Module and am Now resting at 13.9 on music.

When I get a proper ground for amp and ground the engine to battery, and add a second battery it should do even better.

But dont mtx amps works off of 14.4? Im only reaching 13.8; never higher. And i drop to 10 - 11's.

Im thinking about getting a stinger SPV70. And doing 0 gauge and doing the big 3 . Im going to pick up the Kicker PKD1 power install kit. And then that stinger battery, and go from there.

no ,TX amps will work fine at 12v's, they put out more power at 14+ v..

adding a sec batt and big three should help.

It's a TA amp. Bu should it still make power at 12 - 13 volts? It's rated at 1000rms at 2 ohms. How can i get to 14.1 volts without getting an alternator? Doing the big 3 and adding a battery will just stabilize voltage correct?

car audio electronics generally work in the range of 11 volt-15 volt. the power difference at 13v vs 14.4 in most any case is in audiable to the human ear. if you were building it to compete and were trying to squeeze out every .1 db then would be more of a issue. if your amps dont run scorching hot i wouldnt worry about it.

i used to run accuvolts (modules that turned 9.5v-14v into 14.4 constant) and i never noticed anything that was great on non regulated amps. only thing was after about 15 minutes of sq judging i wouldnt get any higher of an spl score and i would also go as far to say it took years off my old Megatron battery. sucked up alot of current to step up the voltage. after it weakened the megatron i sold them LOL
