Voltage drop

I have a kicker kx2500.1 and kx350.4, a DB electric 220amp alt, Kinetic HC2000 and Stinger SP1000 for batts, 2 runs of 0ga. from kinetic to stinger and big three done with 0ga. And some times it will drop below 12 volts. I thought id have enough power. Any ideas why its doing this? should i get another batt for some extra reserve?

make sure all your grounds are clean

wow, i would think that what you have for reserve is plenty, especially seeing lower then 12 volts. probably should test each battery to start,make sure they are sitting properly as they should, then as already stated, ground is very important, and make sure you are to the frame of the vehicle and it is sanded down very well.

Try adding another hc2000. Its possible you dont have enough reserve. I had 3 powermasters when running my 2500d and it never went below 12v. Assuming the stinger is your front batt than you only have about 140AH. I had about 300AH.

X2 deffinately check all your connections first before dropping any $!

I would get that alt tested alot of people say those alts dont do much specially at idle and even do do what they are rated for

i got a stock 130amp alt, big 3 done in 1/0, 1 run of pos and ground from front battery(gold duralast) to back battery stinger spv70. I have a kicker zx1500 set for 1650rms and a kicker zx850.4 using two of the 4 channels for 175rms per channel so 350rms from that at idle with lights on only drops to 12.5 with lights off 12.8-13volts

yeah, that too, just hit up your local auto parts store and put those basterds to work
