Voltage drop worse after big 3?

Before i did my big 3 i had my sub level on my hu set to 3 and i could turn it up to a volume level of 40 with no voltage drop. I did the big 3 and i have a serious voltage drop while the hu is on the same settings. Bass level on the hu is and has been set to 0. By serious voltage drop i mean the headlights dim wayyyyy worse than they used to.

Do you have a secondary car audio type battery near amplifier?....If not you may need one...Sometimes the big 3 can cause this because now you are allowing the amplifier to draw the true current its been after all along.....

thats the problem sometimes before the big 3 you.re amp was bottlenecked and choked down by small wire ..now you have a abundance of flow ..youre amp is probably drawing more now due to this and thus causing more voltage drop

Well i think solved the problem. The guy i had do it had burnt the holy **** out of the wires where they were crimped, and the crimps on one of the wires came off with me pulling on it. Was dipping into low 11s and never really got above 13 with the big 3 done, with stock wires the lowest my voltage dropped was 12.8 and was above 14 90% of the time. I mean one of the ground wires, and the wire going to the positive terminal from the fuse holder, couldnt even keep the jacket on. I was trying to pull the rubber boot back and the jacket was sliding with it. About 3 inches on all the wires except one were a darker brown from burning where he "soldered" it. And the wire in the crimps were black, i could rub on them a bit and they would start breaking. Ill throw up some pics in a sec

These are what the wire looked like about 3 inches under the jacket on either said of the wire

Good thing you caught it before the amplifier's power supply was damaged. Hopfeully...
Well i played it for a total of about 10 minutes after the new wire was put on, as soon as i saw how bad my headlights were dimming i knew something was messed up so i turned the radio off and didnt play it until i took that wire off and found out the problem.
