voltage and capacitor

Batteries in storage need to be charged monthly. A lead-acid batteries lead plates attract sulfide as they sit and the full charge of 12.66 V will slowly drop to 0. The longer a battery sits at less than 12.00, (75% discharge), the more difficult it is to remove the buildup by charging. Eventually - it will become unusable.
A fully charged, lead acid, batteries life can be extended by placing it in a cold area. Heat will cause it discharge faster.

That is all very true but I do not understand how that relates to anything in this thread.

Did you post in the wrong thread by accident?

big 3 - tons of info on this site about it

Bigger wire from

Alt to Positive on battery

Battery to chassis

engine to chassis

About your amp - only the Slash series does rated at 12-14 volts

The HD series (your amp) does not

I have 2 JL Audio 500/1's - I get 500 watts at any normal voltage or ohms

I think you are worried about nothing.

Do the big 3 and just be happy with your system

and the big 3 consistes of what....?my lights flicker pretty hard
upgrading the "Big 3" wires in your engine compartment can lower the overall resistance of your entire electrical system. The effects of the lower resistance are typically:

1) Reduced dimming and smaller voltage drops

2) More stable voltage and better current flow

3) Less strain on your vehicle's charging system

to upgrade your system and help out your electrical system without adding a high output alternator or an aftermarket battery, this is the modification for you. If you have heavy dimming or are getting large voltage drops during loud bass hits, but you don't have the money to spend on a high output alternator or a battery, upgrading your vehicle's "Big 3" will usually help to reduce and sometimes even eliminate the problems.

well then if you have a dmm check it individually no for long though it'll burn out the dmm
Bro - there is no way reading voltage will burn out a DMM

You are not giving out correct info.

I can solder my DMM to my battery and it will run until the DMM's internal battery dies.

I am 100 percent correct here, you do not need to be careful to only measure voltage with a DMM for brief periods of time.

so am i puttin out 600 watts at 13.5 volts or do i have to do the big 3 and get a better altinator and maybe a new/better batt

also i may want to upgrade in the near future.
