Start>Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt>format c:

problem solved, your computer will be good as new! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

well basically it's probaby more like spyware in transmission but it's acting like a virus... in any case go buy norton, which will come with a cd that I belive you could boot from and get this thing removed.... I'm not really a huge fan of norton but it's a quick and simple way for an inexperienced user to fix such a thing...

To do it right though you need to format the HD, start from scratch and quit using spyware supported P2P's and only use IE to watch video's... other than that use firefox/Opera for a web browser and Lite versions of p2p software... also it wouldn't hurt to run some free spyware cleaners from time to time like Ad-aware. Also throw norton on just for the hell of it... BTW: if you do go buy norton JUST buy norton antivirus... all thier other products will just frustrate you and f*ck up your computer...

if you can get on the net from that computer you can try downloading ad-aware for free to start with (http://www.lavasoft.com) and update/run/reboot/run/reboot/run it and it'll clean up most spyware... but in the long run your fighting an uphill battle. It's better to reformat (or use your restore disks) and just don't get that crap in the first place...

also using google is your friend....

this was the FIRST MATCH!

Please click here to download the latest version of JAVA 1.5.0.6. Install the application, then go to the Add/Remove Programs option in the Control Panel and Remove ALL previous versions of JAVA.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.

* Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.

* You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK

* When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.

* Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.

* You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES

* Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.

* When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.

* Turn your computer back on.

* Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

most of the time its a web pages attached to the destop setting in the display drivers, go to your display driver and click custom settings and see if there is a web site attached for a desktop and that might fix it
