You may want to read more into it.

The prs80 does infact have distortion, low but still has distortion at max volume on a pre-amp.

You can only imagine what the internal amp distortion is like..

Also this test was done with a perfect tone and not actual music.

A 0 db 1khz test tone is higher output level than any you can find in music, its thoroughly tested much harder with a pure highest output level sine wave vs dynamic music that at most reaches -1 db and below. No self respecting audiophile would get an 80 prs just to use the internal amp and not hook up any external amps so that's irrelevant, we are talking about pre-outs here. Even your link shows the thd is very minimal however they use a lower -1 db test tone which will in turn lower the preout strength vs a 0 db test tone which will put much more stress into it. All this 80 prs bashing and still no clear evidence that it has distortion or clipping. There will be clipping if you use the EQ boosts, ASL, loudness, or any other feature that affects the pre-out signal. However, plain and flat, it'll be clean. Most people dont have their EQ flat so same thing can be said about any head unit's ability to keep from clipping when used in such a way.

Hooked this up in a friends car today and it worked fine so I'm not sure what the problem really is besides it might clip really easy but either way could work just fine in your setup or it might not

I would guess it's a problem specific to your setup.
Real gem here for someone to scoop up on the cheap
Well that's the thing it also did it on someone else's system that I know lol. All I know is I don't have this problem with other amps so im just trying to get it out of here
