friend of mine with a brand new F150 crew did an install the same way your thinking of. he housed 2 12 L5s one on top of another. sealed. definately not to specs tho. but it can be done. didnt sound bad..but coulda got more output from a single sub ported

I will be doing something "outside the box" for my truck. After having 2 SX10s in my Cobra I am having major withdrawls. I need something asap.

if you wanted to be really "outside the box" you could build the box out of 1" MDF and put a cushion on top of the subbox. (instant rumble seat)
