Verizon's Insurance Plan?

Hey I currently have an EnV and have a plan that includes phone insurance. Now that the new Voyager came out I heard LG stopped producing EnV's. If this is true can I just say my phone was stolen, pay the $50 deductible, and get a Voyager? Anyone?

No, LG still produces the EnV.. so U will get an EnV.. it will be produced for a while longer..Its still a fairly new Model and still considered and "upgrade" phone

Usually phone companies will require a police report if you tell them your phone was stolen.

And, even if they stopped manufacturing the phone, they most likely have a bunch of refurbs on hand to give out as replacements.

Well if your phone is actually broken or stolen, once they stop with the EnV you would get something comparable. So prolly the Voyager(which yes is amazing)

However, they currently have EnV's in stock...so you would get a new one...

They're not likely to give you a new phone anytime you lose or break your old one... refurbs are the order of the day with these types of plans.

yeah they have plenty of refurbs. i'm on my fourth POS motorola krazr in 6 months because these things keep having software melt downs or something crazy like that. i dont have the insurance though, just the warranty.

Ya I've gotten a few phones from insurance claims. They never made me do anything, I'd just tell them I got my phone stollen and they'd give me another one.

I don't know about Verizon, but my g/f has gotten refurbed Nextel's that haven't been in production for over a year...

If you say your Env is broken you pay $50, and then they give you someones else's old envy that was previously broken and they fixed it
