Verify Second Battery Wiring Diagram

Noob here just looking to have somebody check over my wiring diagram for my trunk battery. Also, is the only purpose of a battery isolator to prevent the trunk battery from charging the front battery? If that is the case than I don't think I really need one. Thanks!

Yep, your diagram looks good.

The point of a battery isolator is to prevent draining your starting battery if you play music with the car off for extended periods of time. The challenge with a battery isolator is if you parallel two batteries at different voltages, the stronger one charges the weaker one much quicker than desired, shortening battery life.

Why would you need 2 fuses from first to second battery???

If he had a short with only one fuse, it would blow, but leave the other battery without the fuse to continue to short out............
