using 2 channels on one sub?

for the amp i've got it states:

Rated outputs (supply voltage at 14.4V)

200Wx2(at 4 ohm)

250Wx2(at 2 ohm)

500W(monaural at 4 ohm)

so i suppose it would be pointless to hook each coil up at a 2 ohm load per channel right?

I would try a pair of Bass Blockers on the rear speakers. I always place them on Coax. speakers generally, Should help quite a bit I like PAC ones...
