Used Car... Ripped Off By Dealer

take it to a shop, it could be something as simple as a sensor. a similar thing happened to my brothers ford ranger, his OD light would flash cruise control wouldnt work, when it would shift it clunks and throws you about inside the cab, RPM's would skyrocket and his speedometer stopped working. took it to the shop, spent 120 dollars and EVERYTHING i mean everything was perfect, everything i said was all fixed by this one stupid little sensor, so i would get it checked.

What do you expect from a car that only costs 2 grand?
for $2600 I'd expect a decent car... wtf. Not everyone can afford a brand new vehicle. Hell, I've payed $600 for a car that ran for over a year without problems.

OP: Basically, if you buy a car as-is...you're ****ed as soon as it's signed over to you. I dont think there is much you can do really. You should have bought a car off a private party, usually a much better deal than a stealership and most likely more truthful.

When I was in his office, I noticed some freshly printed papers spread out all over the dealer's desk, regarding the lemon law. I will get the address for you later, they just opened up their business.

Sounds like the ***** is on its way out. You may get lucky and it just be a ECM issue. Either way get your hands dirty and get it worked out.

BTW ever car I have ever bought was originally owned by a little old lady that only drove it on Sundays to Church. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

My buddy had the same transmission problem in a similar year mazda 626.

Eventually it failed completely and left him stranded...

He had to get the whole transmission replaced which was a pain in the ***, had to go to the repair shop like 4 times.

I would go drop a brick through some car windows at that dealer, at night, with masks on. You wont get the money back but at least you will get some satisfaction.

I seriously thought about that.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. After I repeated what he said about him driving it for 2 weeks, he denied it and said he got it from an auction 3 days ago and hadn't even driven it. I don't think I'm gonna be taking revenge on him though, not really my kinda style, but I do want to advise other people from buying from them... ****, I wish someone would steal my car and total it so I could get money back from insurance or some shit.
It sucks being a broke college student with no transportation and a shitty job...
awwww...with your 880, seas, and other shit we forgot to give two shits about your sorry *** lifestyle. you are a complete idiot and deserve all you get.
