Use a car sub/amp for home theater?

Two ways... you can either get a computer power supply (or another 12v power supply). But make sure the power supply can hold up with the proper amperage.

Another way is to get a CLOSED CELL battery and a battery charger, then just plug it in.

the pc power supply wont probide enough power for subs i had mine running 200rms and it would shut down on big hits. i have been e-mailing a guy on my local craigslist about a 45 amp unit and am going to use a cap to provide extra depth for the hits, hopefully illl be rattlin my house.

How does this effect your electric bill using a 600 watt sub vs. a store bought theater sub? I want to try this too because the real nice ones in the stores seem to be overpriced.
