US Amps XT4000d vs. Power Acoustik A3000db

I translated it, but I'm still not following you. It gave 4 ohm and 2 ohm test numbers at 12.5 volts, but nothing for 1 ohm. I'm guessing you were just assuming that the 1 ohm number would be around 900 watts?
Yes, I assuming it. We can discuss about power long time. But beleive me, all measured power af all amp in that magazine is a right measured unclipped power. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So that strange Russian link is really a legitimate source for audio info? Interesting. I almost thought you were joking when I had to google translate it...

AZsound - I noticed in your sig that you own a PA A3000db. Have you had any issues with it? Does it get pretty hot at 1 ohm?

Is it enough to power 2 12" L7's in your opinion? Any other input on the amp in general?

Yes I have PA A3000. It's very good amp for me. It does about 1 kwrms true unclipped power at 1 Ohm. It's enought for my 1 Type R present setup. I had 2 S12L7 in 6cf ported enclosure tuned on 37 Hz for not so long time. There was a 2 round 6" ports in a box. I pushed 145 db on TL with two standart acid batteries. My car is BMW 520 Touring '95. I blowned my sub's, with gains in half position on my PA a3000. The signal was clipped. This was reason. Solobarics are good loud subwoofers but Typer R to my mind has a better SQ after Kicker's setup. L7 in sealed is nothing campared with ported. At high amplitude Kicker distorts the bass in sealed - Type R not. As concerns PA3000 it not get pretty hot at 1 ohm. In my setup PA installed in a closed department and it never shut down from heat. This amp has enough power for 2 12" L7 with correct gain. But you should have a big right build enclosure with correct ports for your subs if you wanna be really loud.

Yes, russian link is a very good link. It is a good source of technical info of caraudio. You can find out very interesting fact on it. Just use online translater //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

AZsound.........Or maybe, you dont have a good enough charging system to push it to its full potential. I tell you what, learn ohms law, and dont believe everything in a magazine. Then come back and talk.

How can you push that amp to its full potential when the fuse rating is more than your alt amperage?????
