4 Channel Bridged, Loss of stereo quality?

So I have an alpine mrp-f250 Bridged at 100x2 @ 4 Ohms. It doesn't seem like the clarity is there with the current set up. I'm currently running MB quartz coaxls. I know I need components, and I will have them soon, but I have heard more out of these MB quartz. So my question is, Did I loose stereo quality and clarification when I bridged the amp? Also, I have 1 set of rca's going from the head units pre-outs to a set of splitters for the 4 channels of RCA's. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

im running that exact same amp bridged to rainbow slc's... sounds great to me, although i havent had another amp in there to compare it to

Those are the comps i'm going to be getting. So your happy with the way they sound with that amp? How do you have your RCA's?

This is a good question that I was wondering, also? I've got a 5 channel amp, and channels 1-4 are bridged to give 200w mono to my components.

I've been wondering if it might be a better idea to pick up an amp like an Alpine PDX 4.150, and run the front two channels to my comps, and bridge the two rear channels to my sub. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

When you bridge most amplifiers the THD will typically go up and the dampening factor will go down. This probably what you are hearing, why not just a higher power 2 channel amp? You probably did not gain by leaps and bounds from the additional power.

It actually got tremendously louder. I figured out the problem I was hearing, I had my Y connectors hooked up wrong. About the why not a 2 channel, because I already have a 4 channel...
