I would have done the same as you, then without her expecting it I would do as I said just (sell the old sub and giving that money to her) to be a nice guy who doesnt want to take advantage of a lady with a small child.

You'd still be coming out of it getting a better sub with no out of pocket expense.

Yeah... I would def. give her some type of return back... I mean, come on! At least sell the damaged sub and give her the money from it.

I would have pissed, but not enough to take advantage of somebody.

You are a horrible friend. I would have used some tape and fixed the dust cap or just left it if the tape didn't fix it. I sure as hell wouldn't have her pay to replace it unless it was not functional.

You should have given her the sub so she could sell it on ebay.

Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this was a little inappropriate. I would not have done the same, particularly once she acknowledged that her son was at fault. It's a minor cosmetic fault. If it were performance impacting, I would have followed the same process...but not in this case.

no need for the tape....the dustcap just had a TINY *** dent. check the pics

obviously she gave you the money cause you made her feel bad. I think its terrible and i hope the new sub blows. Not very honest for a little dent. I've had worst happen and let it go. It doesn't effect performance at all. Wow is all i can say. And you come on hear bragging, **** that's almost as bad as theft as far as i'm concerned. Sorry buddy, but that's shady. In all actuality I would be more mad at the person I lent my car to because they are the people I knowingly gave the responsibility to watch and make sure my car and system were not damaged. And if you did not trust that person with your system I would have disconnected the sub (that’s way I have quick release terminals on my trunk interior for precisely this instant, because my wife uses my Pilot to take a gang of kids a lot of places) or not let that person borrow my car. Also why don’t you have a grill for that sub? it takes me about 10 minutes to swap a sub like that.......I assume by now your

pounding it out........how's it sound? Should hit some really good notes compared to your D6
