Upgrade questions

I am planning another build and would like you guys opinions on electrical upgrades, Car is a 1988 Thunderbird Turbocoupe. System will include my Sundown 1500D running two Avalanche 15s @ .5ohm (this particular amp benched 2200rms at that load) Sundown 100.2 running unknown 8s in front floor pan and Sundown 100.4 running active mids/tweets.

I already have a 200A Powermaster alt. and plan on doing Big Three with at least 2ga. Idea was to run two yellow tops, one up front and one in the trunk but I wonder if this is the best set up. The car will basically be a weekend play toy not so much a daily driver per se but I would like it reliable.

Opinions on this setup or suggestions for changes welcome...

Do the big3 in 0 gauge

Agree on the big 3 with 0 guage. 4 guage won't give you the juice you are looking for.

Ok thanks. What about two batts? Will that be enough, need more, or could I get by with one?

Pretty sure you're going to need 2, do the big3 and take it from there.

A extra can't hurt. 1 up front for car, mids / highs . 2nd in back on sub amp only.

The batteries will see each other still but having the one straight to the subs will damping the draw from the front a little. When I do an install with duel batteries sometimes I try both ways . 1) I run one line 1/0 from alt to front battery then to the back battery. 2nd I try from the alt 1/0 to the front battery then 1/0 from the alt to the back. I have had some better results with # 2 cause it is pulling 2 loads from the alt at once rather then one. It uses the same amount of wire so it dosen't cost to see. Hope it helps
