up front battery ?

it is a shade taller than a group 58 best way is to measure. if you need more juice in a month just add another or larger..reason i say larger is due to wanting to upgrade later without buying more. there isnt too much in an agm cell that i found in a group 58 size..most all of them are wet cells. odyssey has a pc925 and from my messing with one it works well key on but there isnt much there engine off at all...so like if you went to work or school in the fog and left your headlights on it could kill the battery faster than a bigger battery. just saying i have left my headlights on for a few hours before and not killed my 1400.

so this will fit like a oem battery. just alittle taller. cuz taller is ok i think. you know i never changed a battery i never had to. so im gona be giving all this wiring and alt upgrade a try. i hope i dont blow my car up ahhahah. i could see my self standing out side with the hood up going ummmm and well i stand there im gona be holding the battery and 0 ga wire its gona be funny. ill get some pics.

depends on your car...if it has top brackets it can if it has a holder at the bottom no you would have to make one like i did.

see the strap in the middle? i drilled 2 holes in my battery tray. i then used threaded rod, 6 nuts and 4 lock washers. middle part is just backstrap matterial wrapped in pvc tape. all you have to do is cut the threaded rod the right length (not to long where you can dent your hood LOL) 1 nut and lock washer under the tray for each rod then 1 nut srewed on from the top on the rod to hold them in place put the battery in and if you need to drill out the back straps to fit the rod then use the last 2 nuts to hold them in place...you can see the strap in the thumb nail the battery doesnt move at all.

if you think you might drill into something important remove the tray. the holes should be barely wider than the battery and the strap and nuts and rods should be shorter off the top than the battery terminals.

I had to make my own battery tray to get my 1800 under the hood. Walmart sells the battery hold down rods, threaded at the top with nuts and rubber bushings, then the other end is bent. I just drilled a hole for each rod, put the rod up through the hole and thats pretty much it. The other thing you'll need is a piece of metal or something for the battery hold downs to go through, to actually hold the battery down.

im starting to think im gona do a gold up front and a good batt in the back. i gota run all new wires i might as well run another wire for the batt.i dont have to run a - rom the back all the way to the front do i . some guy i work with said i need a relay or somthing like that . what he talking about? thanks

You can add a ground from the front to the rear battery, but you don't have to. The relay he's talking about is for when you have two batteries and you plan on running your system for extended periods of time with the engine off. The relay shut's off the front battery and makes your system get all it's power from the rear battery when the engine is off, once you turn the engine on then both batteries are being used, this keeps you from killing your front battery and let's you keep enough juice to start the car. If you don't plan on showing off with the car off then don't worry about the relay.
