universal 3-way crossover pics

I dont own a 3-way set, but am about to add a 3rd speaker to my front and would like it to be crossed over, as it wont be ampd. Is there a 3-way cross over I can get that will run 2 different speaker brands? or even the same, i could always get an eclipse 3.5" to match my eclipse components. but id much rather get the mbquart

would this work the same way as a crossover that comes with component sets, just allowing you to add a 3rd speaker?

the cross over does not care what brand the speakers are, and as far as running different brands, it can be done, it might sound off being your mixing a midranger and woofers, using a different tweeter is not a big deal but something like a midrange can sometime sound a little off

btw your link does not work, and i would not even think about doing it unless your going active, the crossover points of a set crossover might not work with your drivers very well

so you're saying if I had a 3-way cross over from say... a CDT comp set, i could run all eclipse components off of it? i am just trying to figure out the best way of adding these 3.5's. Off HU power from the rear channel or Getting a 3-way cross over, and running them from a 4channel. I dont see the need to amp them, they wont need much power. So if I do decide to get the 4channel ill run my comps and 6" kicker mids off of the amp (mids not crossed over, straight from amp to mids) then run the 3.5's off the rear channel of the HU where the kickers used to be
